This privacy policy applies to the RS4MH (Racket Sports for Mental Health) app for mobile devices (the “Application”), operated by Deyan Georgiev (the “Service Provider”). RS4MH is an EU-funded (Erasmus+) initiative supporting the mental wellbeing of young grassroots athletes in racket sports, delivered by a consortium of partner organisations across Romania, Hungary, North Macedonia, Latvia, Bulgaria and Germany. This policy covers the Application only — not the rs4mh.eu website, which may have its own policy.

What the Application stores, and where
The Application does not require an account, a sign-up, or a login. It stores a small amount of data locally on your device only, using standard on-device storage. None of it is sent to an RS4MH server, because RS4MH does not operate a server for this Application:
- Your selected role (Athlete, Parent, Coach, or Psychologist) — used only to tailor which content the Application shows you.
- Your Ask RS4MH conversation history — the most recent messages, so your chat is still there when you reopen the Application.
You can delete your chat history at any time from Profile → Clear Ask RS4MH history. Uninstalling the Application deletes all of this data, since none of it exists anywhere else.
Ask RS4MH and Google Gemini
When you ask a question in Ask RS4MH, the Application first searches RS4MH’s own reference documents for relevant excerpts. To turn those excerpts into a natural-language answer, your question text and the matched excerpts are sent to Google’s Gemini API (operated by Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited) for processing.
- No chat history, selected role, device identifiers, or other personal data is sent alongside the question — only the text you typed and RS4MH’s own document excerpts.
- If Google’s service is unavailable or rate-limited, the Application answers locally on your device instead, without any network request.
- Google’s handling of this data is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and the Gemini API’s own terms — the Service Provider does not control how Google processes it.
Application updates (Expo)
The Application uses Expo’s update service (operated by 650 Industries, Inc.) to deliver content updates — for example new articles or documents — without requiring a new download from the app store. When checking for updates, the Application contacts Expo’s servers and shares basic technical information needed to serve the correct update: the platform (Android or iOS), the Application’s version, and its update channel. No personal data, chat content, or role selection is included. Expo’s handling of this data is governed by the Expo Privacy Policy.
Google Gemini and Expo are the only third-party services the Application itself communicates with. The app store that delivered the Application to you (Google Play or the Apple App Store) may additionally collect its own install and diagnostic statistics under its own privacy policy, which is outside the Service Provider’s control.
What the Application does not do
- No account creation, no sign-in, no passwords.
- No advertising, no ad SDKs, no ad tracking.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs (no Firebase, Sentry, Amplitude, or similar).
- No access to your location, camera, contacts, microphone, or photos.
- No sale or sharing of data for commercial purposes — there is no user data collected server-side to sell.
Community / VCoP forum
The “Community” link opens RS4MH’s Virtual Community of Practice forum (on rs4mh.eu) in your device’s browser, outside the Application. Anything you do there — creating an account, posting, logging in — is covered by rs4mh.eu’s own privacy policy, not this one.
Children’s privacy
The Application is intended for users aged 16 or older (the age of digital consent in the EU); younger athletes should use it under the guidance of a parent or legal guardian, consistent with the Application’s Terms & Conditions. The Application does not knowingly collect any personal data beyond what is described above — a locally-stored role selection and chat history — and collects no data that identifies a specific individual. The Service Provider does not knowingly collect personal data from children; if you believe a child has provided personal data through the Application, contact tcfavorit.projects@gmail.com and it will be addressed promptly.
Your rights (GDPR)
Because nearly all Application data lives only on your own device, the GDPR rights of access, rectification, and erasure are already under your direct control through the Application itself (Profile → Clear Ask RS4MH history, or uninstalling the Application). For the Gemini API’s server-side processing of your questions, see Google’s privacy policy linked above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. For anything else, or questions about this policy, contact tcfavorit.projects@gmail.com.
Security
All network communication from the Application (to the Gemini API and Expo’s update service) uses encrypted HTTPS connections. Data stored on your device is protected by your device’s own security measures — the Service Provider recommends keeping your device locked and up to date.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the Application adds a backend, analytics, or any new data sharing, this policy will be updated before that version ships, and the “Last updated” date above will change. You are advised to review this page periodically.
