Racket Sports for Mental Health (RS4MH) is a European initiative focused on supporting the mental health and emotional wellbeing of young grassroots athletes through racket sports.
The project brings together sports clubs, educational institutions, non-governmental organizations, and community stakeholders from different European countries to address the growing mental health challenges faced by adolescents in sport environments.
RS4MH aims to create healthier, safer, and more supportive sport environments where young athletes can develop physically, emotionally, and socially. Through tennis and other racket sports, the project promotes resilience, confidence, emotional awareness, social inclusion, and positive communication among young people.
The project develops innovative educational resources, training modules, and digital tools designed to support coaches, teachers, parents, and sports organizations in understanding and addressing mental health in grassroots sport settings.
A key part of the project is the creation of a digital project platform and a Virtual Community of Practice (VCoP), where stakeholders can exchange knowledge, share experiences, and access practical resources and training materials.
